Promoting Your eChinabid Store

Making buyers aware of your eChinabid Store and your Store Inventory items is the key to your success. Here are some ways to promote your Store:

Promoting your Store on eChinabid

  • Make the most of your Online Auction and Fixed Price listings.
    The most successful eChinabid Store sellers bring buyers to their Store through their Online Auction and Fixed Price listings, which appear in regular searches and categories on eChinabid. List some of your items in these formats, and in your item descriptions, include links to parts of your Store (the home page, custom categories, Store Inventory items, etc.). For the more advanced seller, incorporate your Store's visuals (colors, logo, etc.) in all of your item descriptions as well.
  • Control your cross-promotions.
    When buyers view, bid on, or win an item, your other items (including Store Inventory items) are promoted in a special display. As a Store seller, you have complete control over which items are shown. Set up your cross-promotions so that your Store Inventory items gain maximum exposure.
  • Use your About Me page.
    If you've created an About Me page, you know that the "me" icon always appears next to your User ID for buyers to click on. Promote your Store in your About Me page as you would in your listings (logo, links, etc.).
  • Include your Store name in Discussion Board posts.
    When you communicate with other members of the eChinabid community on eChinabid's Discussion Boards, include your Store name and URL as part of your signature.

Promoting your Store outside of eChinabid

  • Promote your Store in emails and printed materials.
    Always include your Store name and URL, and if possible, your branding elements ( colors, logo, etc.) in all your correspondence with buyers (such as emails and packing slips) as well as advertisements.
  • Optimize your Store for Internet search engines.
    Make the text in your Store match the keywords shoppers would enter in search engines when they look for the types of items you're selling. This will boost your Store's chances of appearing in their search results. Include these keywords in your Store name, custom category names, and/or the content on your custom pages.
  • Purchase keyword ads in general Internet search engines.
    You can also buy keyword ads in Internet search engines so that ads for your Store appear on search results pages when buyers are looking for the types of items you sell.
