I Have A Question

To save you time we've identified the questions that are most frequently asked about using eChinabid.

How long does it take for newly listed items to be available in the search function?
When you list an item on eChinabid, the system immediately records the item number and your User ID. You can search eChinabid immediately to find the item using the item number or your User ID.

The keyword(s) and category take longer to be recorded into the search system. This system is updated several times each day. Once the system is updated, your item will be available to be searched by keyword(s) or under the category.

What fees does eChinabid charge?
There are two primary selling fees at eChinabid:

  • A nominal insertion fee
  • A tiered, final value fee

The insertion fee is calculated for each item as follows:

Starting Price or
Opening Value
insertion fee
$0.01 - $0.99 $0.2
$1.00 - $9.99 $0.25
$10.00 - $24.99 $0.4
$25.00 - $49.99 $0.8
$50.00 - $199.99 $1.6
$200.00 - $499.99

$2.5

$500.00 and up $3.4

Insertion fees are based on the starting price. However, if you have a Reserve Price Auction the insertion fee your pay is based on the Reserve price you set.

The Final Value Fee is figured using this formula:

3.8% for the amount of the current high bid (at the auction close) up to $25 plus
2.5% for that part of the current high bid from $25.01 up to $1,000 plus
1.1% for the balance of the current high bid greater than $1,000.01

How long should I wait for the seller to contact me?
It is suggested, but not required, that members involved in a transaction on eChinabid contact each other within three business days after the listing ends. This does not include weekends or holidays.

Please note that an emergency, illness, or computer problem may keep the seller from contacting you immediately. If the seller doesn't respond to email messages, you can request the seller's phone number.

If you are unable to contact the seller via email or telephone after a reasonable amount of time, you are no longer responsible for purchasing the item. At this point, you might consider leaving feedback to alert other buyers about your experience with the seller.
